Path and Inspiration
I grew up in the landlocked Midlands, in a family that valued the arts, always drawing and loving nature and history. I studied ceramics and lithography at Wolverhampton College of Art and later to be an Art teacher in Dorset.
I fell in love with a local guy and the stunning Jurassic Coast, which is the main inspiration for my work.
Process and Practice
I've taught pottery for many years, working with wonderful adults with learning difficulties and students.
Though I’ve exhibited widely in the UK, Israel, and France, I now focus on local venues and galleries, enjoying the freedom to create pieces that express my passion for clay and nature.
My forms reflect the shapes and textures of waves and fossils, while my glazes echo the sea's light and movement.
