Path and Inspiration
My work is inspired by my Indian heritage, celebrating the richness of my family's culture, rituals, and community. I find inspiration in the vibrant life of Indian villages and the traditional art of the Warli tribe from my home region. This cultural influence shapes my creative process, leading to unique surface patterns in my work.
Through my designs, I aim to express the essence of my heritage, blending tradition and personal history into each piece of ceramics.
Process and Practice
My ceramics combine contemporary and traditional techniques, featuring slab-built and coiled forms with detailed surface decoration. Through the Sgraffito method, slips, underglazes, and oxides, I capture the lively rhythm of Indian village life.
Each piece tells a unique story, making every work one-of-a-kind. This blend of techniques and inspiration allows me to express both my heritage and modern craftsmanship, creating ceramics that reflect a distinct balance of tradition and innovation.
