Path and Inspiration
I am a ceramicist, working from home.
Many of my pieces are linked intrinsically with Dorset, with my use of local grasses and plants. I have had several exhibitions and currently sell through local businesses.
Most recently I have been asked by the National Trust, given the close connection many of my pieces have with the River Stour, to join their group of “local artists” who sell through their shops.
I studied Ceramics at Poole College from where I obtained my City and Guilds in Design and 3D Art (Ceramics) in 2006.
Process and Practice
I work with Earthenware, Stoneware and Porcelain, using slip, coils and slabs and an infusion of oxides and glazes. I have also explored the fun of pit firing and Raku.
