Path and Inspiration
Inspired by my travels and the people I meet on the way, I make functional pieces that sit quietly in people’s homes. My journey with pottery has taken me from Nottingham to Sevilla, through Europe and Melbourne and now to Dorset. I teach and currently run the Pottery at the Lantern Community.
Process and Practice
Using a pottery wheel I make practical pieces designed to be in the home. My love affair with the wheel is the reason that I became a potter in the first place. The process is meditative, the repetitive movements to make multiples of the same shape while being incredible tactile, using my whole body while seeming to sit still.
