Path and Inspiration
I came to ceramics when I was looking for something to do for myself as my 4 boys need me a lot less.
I started out in evening classes, slowly learning the basics and discovering how satisfying it is to shape something from a lump of clay. A week spent in Sicily, learning to throw, took that feeling to another level - I left completely inspired and knew I wanted to keep going.
Process and Practice
I mainly focus on throwing, but I still enjoy mixing in hand-building. I love the freedom of combining techniques and seeing where the process leads. Colour is a big part of my work too; I’m always experimenting with glazes and finding new ways to bring brightness and warmth into my pieces.
I’m still very much on my journey as a potter, exploring, learning, and enjoying every step
